ICLW

Hello Fellow ICLWers! This is my FAVORITE time of the month! Can't wait to get to know more of you nad find more blogs to read regularly!

You can go read my other intro posts to get to know more about me. Nothing has changed, except the new question I've been asking myself a lot lately... "What does a teacher do that doesn't want to teach anymore and they economy is crap?" I'm open to ANY and ALL suggestions/answers. I just really don't know if I can teach again next year, none of the possibilities seem plausible to be better than this year, which has been HARD to say the very least.

The other thing I HAVE to add is that Kym over at I'm a Smart One is hosting the 2nd Sock it to Me exchange. I missed out last year by 2 DAYS so I'm thrilled to be participating this year! Be sure to check it out and JOIN! I don't know about you, but comfy socks are one of my favorite things!

Hmmm...not sure I have any suggestions on the job front. I guess the bright side is that we're only months away from spring, which means summer is then right around the corner!

January's almost over which is crazy!!

I actually really love my job but if I could ever find out a way to make tons of money traveling the world (and still live in IN), I'd be all OVER it. Hmm...don't think it's going to happen, so I may have to settle with my job that allows me to travel around the US.

Happy ICLW!

i loved teaching more than anything. i was laid off at the end of the summer. i miss it every day, but i had considered leaving for a while so maybe it was for the best. i interviewed with my state in may and again in the beginning of january. i wasn't high enough on the list last time (rank system+seniority+test grade)but this time i should get it. if you have the kind of time to wait it out, aim high and pick something you would truly like to do.

all i can tell you is i've had a bunch of interviews since being unemployed and most employers look at former teachers favorably. we get mad credit for our people skills, tech knowledge and organization. whatever you choose i wish you the best.
i have endo too and the worst cramps right now...glad i found your blog. gonna go check it out!

Could you try tutoring at a place like Sylvan? I'm not sure what you don't like about your current job, but that would draw on your skills yet be different.

Nice to 'meet' you through ICLW. I don't love my job either, but unfortunately, stuck in it for now. Maybe you can get into education administration?? I hope and pray you will be able to find something you enjoy.

Sending prayers for the right door to open for you.

I also missed out on SITM by just a few days last year. Glad we are both in on it this year!

Happy ICLW to you, too!

I just barely got under the gun for the Sock Exchange, and I'm thrilled. (Actually, there was just a typo and I had a few days before the deadline, but who's counting? heh!)

I don't care much for the Bill & Giulianna show, either (I think I butchered her name), but yeah.. that was a pretty awkward advertisement..

Have a fantastic week!
